Step 1:
Step 2:
Step 3:
We recommend IMAP, but POP3 is also an option. The following steps should be nearly identical, regardless of which option you prefer.
Step 4:
- “Your Name” is your name.
- “Email Address” is your email address
- “User Name” is your email address (again)
- “Password” is the password associated with your email address
- “Incoming mail server (IMAP)” is mail-a.bluephyre.com (or mail.bluephyre.com if your account was setup prior to February 2009)
- “Outgoing mail server” is usually provided by your Internet provider (Bell, Rogers, Videotron, Shaw, etc). Most Internet providers require you to use their outgoing mail server. Your provider should be able to provide values for this setting. Alternatively, you can try our outgoing server, mail-a.bluephyre.com)
Step 5
Step 6
Your internet provider will tell you what additional settings, if any, their outgoing mail server requires. Alternatively, if using our outgoing server, check “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” and leave the “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” selected.
Step 7
We recommend enabling both check boxes on the “Advanced” tab.
